The Tokyo 2020 committee decided to drop 340 Japanese children from participating in the passing of the Olympic torch. Precautions are being taken due to the potential spread of coronavirus. There will be scaled-down ceremonies in March as the torch travels from Greece to Japan. People involved in the relay will have their health monitored.
