The Minnesota Vikings paid a heavy price to acquire quarterback Sam Bradford following the season-ending knee injury to starter Teddy Bridgewater. Bradford rewarded the team with his finest statistical season, highlighted by an NFL-record completion percentage of 71.6 percent. Bradford broke the record of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who set the previous mark of 71.2 percent in 2011. Bradford also set career highs in passing yards and passer rating. With the recovery time of Bridgewater still unknown, Bradford proved himself to be a capable arm should he be called upon again in 2017.
